Lewis Retail Centers of Upland will begin construction this month on two new shopping centers in the Inland Empire, part of a series of six centers, totaling nearly 3 million square feet, that the company has underway.

The new centers are the 260,000-square-foot Summit Heights Gateway, along the 15 Freeway at Summit Avenue in Fontana, and the 105,000-square-foot Village at Ontario Center, at Milliken Avenue and 4th Street in Ontario.

Summit Heights will be anchored by an 86,000-square-foot Kohl’s department store and a 30,000-square-foot Marshalls. The Ontario center also will include a Kohl’s. Both centers are scheduled to open in March.
