A 16-year-old boy was charged Tuesday in a case in which a pipe bomb was allegedly thrown onto a walkway roof at Inglewood High School, prosecutors said.

The incident caused the evacuation Friday of the campus on South Grevillea Avenue.

The teenager, whose name is not being released because of his age, faces one count of possession of a destructive device at a school, a spokesman for the district attorney’s office said.

The boy, who is in custody, is scheduled to be arraigned today in Inglewood Juvenile Court.
