Supervisors Ask Judge to Rule on Motocross Park
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Orange County supervisors decided Tuesday to ask a judge to decide whether a decades-old permit still allows motocross riding at Santiago Reservoir.
Saddleback Motorsports Partners LLC, which has threatened to sue the county, says it has a right to operate the motocross park because of a broadly written conditional use permit dating from 1941.
Opponents say the track was built in the dry lake bed without permits.
