Illegal Immigration Is All-American

Illegal immigration is as American as apple pie. Those who wish to put an end to it obviously do not understand it. Illegals do not leave their families and risk their lives to sneak into the United States because they want to improve the U.S. economy. They are here because we need them and we want them.

While they may cost us money, in the long term their presence is beneficial. Most are very hard-working people who develop a feeling of patriotism for their new home. Often they start families and, if given the chance, become outstanding citizens. Their children contribute to the vibrancy and diversity of our nation.

Legal immigration could never supply us with sufficient low-cost labor nor could it generate the wonderful new immigrant communities that are the pride of Los Angeles. Besides, despite what anti-immigration people may think, God did not give this land only to those who were born here. God is a lot more generous than that.
