* C.O.L.A. 2002: Individual Artist Fellowships (Japanese American National Museum, 369 E. 1st St., L.A., [213] 625-0414). This annual exhibition features work by L.A.-based mid-career artists awarded Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department fellowships. The grants enable the creation of new work. Among the pieces on view is Linda Stark’s oil on canvas “Black Widow Portrait III” (1999), above. Tue.-Wed., 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Thu., 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Fri.-Sun., 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (Stark also will be part of “C.O.L.A. Conversations With the Artists,” a discussion that also includes Robbie Conal, Meg Cranston and Warren W. Wagner, at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the museum.)
