3 Die in Plane Crash in Frontyard of House
VIRGINIA

A small plane crashed in the frontyard of a rural Virginia home, killing the pilot and two passengers, including a child.
A Virginia State Police spokeswoman said the airplane, a 1962 Beechcraft Musketeer 23, left Fredericksburg on a pleasure trip that did not require a flight plan.
It crashed about 18 miles away. Pilot Benjamin C. Butler, 45, often flew over a co-worker’s home and wagged the airplane’s wings as a greeting. On Sunday, the plane began to circle, but then crashed.
