City Council to Study Expanding Red Line
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
The City Council approved a motion Monday to look into ways to expand the Metro Red Line subway in the San Fernando Valley.
“It wouldn’t be a detailed study ... it’s very preliminary, but it puts [the idea] on the table,” said Councilman Tom LaBonge, who made the proposal. “I want to look at it.”
LaBonge said he would like to see the subway line extend north to connect with Metrolink.
