Man Gets 6-Year Term for Fatal Accident

A Glendale man was sentenced Monday to six years in state prison for causing the death of a Bakersfield woman and endangering the lives of his daughters in a drunk-driving accident last year.
Grant Karapetian, 39, was driving a truck with his wife and daughters, 2 and 3, when he swerved into the center divider of the southbound Golden State Freeway.
He rear-ended a disabled pickup truck parked at the divider, killing its occupant, Dolores Pantoja, 56.
