With Picasso, most people see the image but not the art behind the image.
With Warhol, most people see the image, but there is no art behind the image (“After the First 15 Minutes,” by Christopher Knight, May 19).
What your article seems to be saying is that Warhol was an art critic who, instead of writing his criticisms, pictured them.
Picasso was a great artistic genius with a repugnant lifestyle.
Warhol was a very clever technician with a socially ambitious lifestyle.
