Watson Reports Profit on Increase in Sales

Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. posted a third-quarter profit after a year-earlier loss as the drug maker sold more women’s health products.
Net income was $40.7 million, or 38 cents a share, contrasted with a loss of $58.6 million, or 55 cents, in the year- ago quarter. Revenue increased 14% to $307.9 million.
Corona-based Watson’s shares fell 6 cents to $28.98 on the NYSE.
