Myanmar’s military government has freed 51 members of pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi’s party as part of the large-scale release of 115 political detainees under an ongoing reconciliation process, party officials said.

Most of the 51 were youth members of the National League for Democracy, party spokesman U Lwin said. He said they were freed in central Myanmar, the delta region and Yangon’s main Insein prison.
