Ex-Mayor Reassigned to Federal Prison in N.J.

Former Providence Mayor Vincent “Buddy” Cianci Jr. has been reassigned to a federal prison in New Jersey so he can be closer to his daughter while she undergoes drug treatment.
Cianci, 61, was sentenced in September to five years and four months in prison for corruption and was to report to the Elkton Federal Correctional Institution in Ohio.
