From Times Wire Reports

Nearly 40 years after he disappeared from a fishing boat off the coast of Japan, Takeshi Terakoshi came home as part of a North Korean labor union delegation. Terakoshi, 53, was welcomed by his mother, Tomoe, at Narita airport near Tokyo.

Tokyo does not consider Terakoshi among its nationals abducted by North Korea, and he has denied that he was kidnapped. He reportedly has said he was rescued by North Korean fishermen after the vessel he was on began sinking.
