Yum Brands Inc., owner of the KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell fast-food chains, said third-quarter net income rose 19% to $147 million, or 47 cents a share. Revenue rose 17% to $1.9 billion.

Rambus Inc., whose computer chip design is used in Sony Corp.’s PlayStation2 video game system, said fourth-quarter net income fell 9.1% to $5.89 million, or 6 cents a share, because of litigation expenses. Sales fell 12% to $24.5 million.
