New City Manager Starts Job in October

The newly hired city manager of Santa Paula is scheduled to begin his duties Oct. 7, the interim city manager said Thursday.
Walter Bobkiewicz, 36, an assistant city manager in the Marin County town of Novato, was hired this week by the City Council. He will receive a three-year contract that pays him an annual salary of $105,000 and a $400 monthly car allowance, said interim city manager Paul Skeels.
Bobkiewicz grew up in Camarillo and attended USC and Syracuse University.
