Tuesday: The Santa Clara Valley Democratic Club will meet at 6 p.m. at Los Compadres Restaurant, 650 W. Harvard Blvd., Santa Paula. Steve Cummings of the Ventura County Democratic Central Committee will give a party update, and Mike Miller of Santa Paula will discuss the “No on F” campaign. Tuesday: The Greater Oxnard Organization of Democrats has invited Democrats in several local races to a 7:15 p.m. session at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3935, 300 S. Thursday: Ventura City Councilman Brian Brennan will discuss his opposition to Measure A, which calls for construction of nearly 1,400 homes north of the city, during a 7:30 p.m. meeting of Ventura Citizens for Hillside Preservation at the parish hall of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 3290 Loma Vista Road.
