Exploring Potential Effects of Secession
The potential effects on commercial real estate of secession of the San Fernando Valley and Hollywood will be discussed Friday at a lunch meeting of the Los Angeles chapter of CCIM.
A panel opposed to secession will be headed by Jonathan Kevles, deputy mayor for economic development for the city of Los Angeles, and will include other guests.

Secession panel--The date of a meeting to discuss the effect of secession on the Los Angeles County commercial real estate industry was incorrect in Tuesday’s Business section. The meeting will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Omni hotel in downtown Los Angeles. For information, call (213) 613-1113.
A pro-secession panel will be headed by Gene La Pietra, president of the Hollywood Vote Organization, and Lynn Rinker, a member of the board of directors for Valley Vote and a broker with Coldwell Banker.
Registration will begin at 11 a.m. at the Omni hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
