Death Toll in Chechen Bus Blast Rises to 19

The death toll in the explosion of a passenger bus in Chechnya’s capital rose to 19, and three suspects were detained, officials in the southern Russian republic said.
The bus was blown up Monday as it passed a land mine hidden in a metal container on one of Grozny’s liveliest thoroughfares. Chechen officials said that the blast had been intended for Russian forces; two military trucks had passed the area just seconds before.
