Man Dressed as Woman Held in Child Abuse Case
Immigration officials in the Philippines arrested a man wanted in L.A. on suspicion of child abuse who apparently evaded authorities for years by dressing as a woman.
Domingo Ramon Cruz, 55, was arrested Wednesday when he was lured out of his home by agents posing as letter carriers delivering money, officials said.
Cruz, who is suspected of molesting two foster boys under his care, fled to the Philippines in early 1999 and threw investigators off his trail by dressing as a woman, authorities said.
He is expected to be deported to Los Angeles to face trial.
