Razov Helps the Fire Get Even With Revolution

Ante Razov scored two goals, including the winner in the 76th minute, to lead the Chicago Fire past the New England Revolution, 2-1, Sunday and force a third game in the first-round MLS playoff series.

After receiving a pass from Carlos Bocanegra at the edge of the box, Kelly Gray centered to Razov, who beat New England goalkeeper Adin Brown from 10 yards.

The Fire earned three points to even the first-to-five points series. The final game is Wednesday night in Foxboro, Mass. New England won the opener, 2-0.

Razov tied the score on a penalty kick in the 43rd minute. Dema Kovalnko passed to Razov inside the box, but Revolution defensemen Jay Heaps and Daouda Kante tackled Razov.

Brian Kamler opened the scoring in the 28th minute. He beat a diving Zach Thornton with a shot inside the far post from 10 yards.

Revolution defenseman Carlos Llamosa earned two yellow cards in the second half and will miss the final game of the series.
