Allied forces are closer to removing Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and his regime, President Bush told Coast Guard members in Philadelphia.
“Many dangers lie ahead, but day by day, we are moving closer to Baghdad,” he said. “Day by day, we are moving closer to victory.” “Your job in protecting our nations’ ports is essential to our nation’s security.”
Bush also warned that Hussein’s “dying regime in Iraq may try to bring terror to our shores,” but he said the U.S. is “acting to prevent the dangers.”
