Top Defense Companies Win NASA Contracts

Lockheed Martin Corp., Boeing Co. and Northrop Grumman Corp. each will receive $45 million from NASA to design an orbital space plane to ferry astronauts to and from the international space station.
A decision on which craft to build will be made in the second half of 2004, and the plane should be ready by 2010, NASA said.
