War Crimes Suspect Arrested in Capital
From Times Wire Reports
Croatian police have arrested a Bosnian Croat sought by the U.N. war crimes tribunal in The Hague for allegedly carrying out atrocities against Muslim civilians during the Bosnian war.
Ivica Rajic, 45, was arrested Saturday in the capital, Zagreb, police spokeswoman Zinka Bardic said.
Rajic was indicted in 1995 by the court for allegedly ordering a 1993 attack that left at least 16 Muslims dead. His attorney said his client denies the charges.
