Rosie O’Donnell, host of this weekend’s Kids’ Choice Awards on Nickelodeon, said she won’t use the show as a forum for her antiwar views but will talk about peace.

She hasn’t scripted any remarks but said they might be “something along the lines” of a hope for peace in the world. The show airs at 8 p.m. Saturday.

The Kids’ Choice Awards, which feature favorites in movies, TV, sports and books as selected by children in online voting, attracted more than 5 million viewers aged 2 to 11 last year. Nickelodeon doesn’t expect that celebrities participating in the awards will make overt war references. (Brad Pitt and Michelle Pfeiffer are among the presenters.)

“I think once [celebrities] get up on that stage and they see who’s in the audience and feel that pure kid energy, screaming and happy that they’re there, I don’t think they’ll use it as a platform,” said Cyma Zarghami, executive vice president and general manager of the cable channel.
