Man Is Charged in Parents’ Beating Deaths
From Times Wire Reports
A man who told State College police that he was defending himself from “government droids” was ordered to stand trial on charges of beating his parents to death with a baseball bat.
Daniel Opdenhoff, 24, is accused of killing William Opdenhoff, 56, and his wife, Georgeann, 54, in their home Oct. 19.
The judge rejected the defense attorney’s request to commit Daniel Opdenhoff. He also faces robbery and theft charges that stem from his alleged use of his parents’ ATM cards.
