On hold: Because of ongoing coverage of the war in Iraq, public radio station KPCC-FM (89.3) has postponed its spring on-air fund-raising drive until April 30-May 9.

Anchor change: KNBC-TV Channel 4’s “Today in L.A. Weekend” anchor Chris Schauble has been named anchor of the newscast’s weekday versions. He’ll join anchor Kelly Mack on Thursday, replacing David Cruz, who’ll anchor the station’s mid- day report and work as a special assignment reporter. Rachel Boesing, formerly of Las Vegas’ KVBC-TV, has been named the show’s weather forecaster.

Theater executive -- A Quick Takes item in today’s Calendar about Seattle’s ACT Theatre misidentifies the Mark Taper Forum’s producing director, Robert Egan, as Mark Egan.

Seattle update: Seattle’s financially strapped ACT Theatre confirms that it has raised $1.5 million, enough to keep the theater in operation for at least another year. The theater’s ongoing financial crisis led Mark Taper Forum’s producing director, Mark Egan, who was scheduled to take over as the theater’s artistic director, to request and receive a release from his contract earlier this year.
