Priest Jailed in Alleged Molestation of Girl

A Roman Catholic priest was being held in the San Mateo County Jail in lieu of $2.5-million bail after pleading not guilty to 25 counts of child molestation.
The Rev. Jose Superiaso, 49, entered his pleas Thursday at an arraignment in Redwood City. He is accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl while he was serving at St. Andrew Church in Daly City. The alleged assaults occurred between July 1994 and November 1995.
