ACLU Sues City Over Lesbian March Rules

The American Civil Liberties Union has filed suit against Costa Mesa because of “unreasonable and unconstitutional” permit requirements imposed on organizers of the Orange County Dyke March.
The city approved a special-events permit for the Aug. 16 rally and protest march, but with 18 conditions. The Orange County Dyke March organizing committee and the Gay and Lesbian Community Services Center called those conditions different from the restrictions placed on last year’s march in the city.
