Another Opportunity Rings for Heros Call

With a little bit of luck, Heros Call would be entering tonight’s $15,570 AQHA California Distance Challenge on a four-race winning streak.

The 3-year-old gelded son of Grand Slam had won three in a row before the La Playa Handicap on July 5. Carried wide on the turn of the 870-yard race, Heros Call had to settle for second, beaten by a nose by stablemate Oak Canyon.

Heros Call will break from the rail in the five-horse field.
