Alleged Operator of Homeland Meth Lab Held
A Homeland man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of operating a methamphetamine laboratory in his shed, where police also found an assault rifle and military ammunition, authorities said.
A Riverside County narcotics task force served a search warrant on Bobb Chambers, 54, in the 26000 block of Olson Avenue in the unincorporated area of Homeland, near Hemet, said Sheriff’s Deputy Dennis Gutierrez.
There, authorities allegedly found an active laboratory in Chambers’ shed as well as an assault rifle, ammunition and two military ammunition devices that were inactive, Gutierrez said.
Chambers also faces weapons charges.
