Marijuana Crop Found in Remote Area
From Times Wire Reports
Authorities have discovered more than 2,300 marijuana plants on a remote mountaintop, the first to be discovered in Fresno County this season, sheriff’s officials said.
Officials ripped out nearly 700 marijuana plants Thursday, a day after more than 1,600 plants were found about 10 miles away, state narcotics officials said.
A record 354,164 plants were seized in California last year under the Campaign Against Marijuana Planting program.
