In-Laws Arrested in Man’s Death
The former in-laws of a man slain in Eureka a year ago were arrested in Tennessee and are expected to be extradited to Humboldt County soon, authorities said.
Douglas Mark Lunsford, 48, his wife, Marcella Lunsford, 49, and their son, Charles Lunsford, 30, were arraigned Thursday in Bradford, Tenn., in the slaying of Nathan Gray Dannemiller, 26.
Dannemiller was found outside his apartment on Aug. 6, 2002. He had been shot once in the chest and once in the face. Dannemiller was married to Chasity, the Lunsfords’ daughter, for nearly two years.
Family Court documents reveal details about a custody battle in 2001 between the two.
