Gillette Alleges Patent Infringement by Schick

The battle of the blades has abruptly sharpened, with Schick introducing the first four-blade razor and Gillette Co. countering hours later with a patent infringement suit against its rival.
Schick-Wilkinson Sword, a unit of St. Louis-based Energizer Holdings, officially announced the Quattro, touting the $8.99 shaving system’s design and synchronized blades.
Later in the day, Gillette said it had filed a suit in federal court in Boston alleging the new razor infringes patents for its Mach3 system.
