Cal Lutheran Receives $400,000 Grant

Cal Lutheran University has received a $400,000, three-year grant from the James Irvine Foundation to increase faculty, staff and student diversity.
In 1990, Cal Lutheran received a $600,000 grant to recruit, retain and improve graduation rates for underrepresented students. In 1996, the foundation awarded the university $600,000 for a science outreach program that targeted minority students, who received tuition assistance, a stipend for books and travel and local internships.
