FCC Chairman’s Chief of Staff to Resign
From Reuters
Marsha MacBride, chief of staff to Federal Communications Commission Chairman Michael K. Powell, said she would resign to join the private sector.
Powell, meanwhile, told the Progress and Freedom Foundation Aspen Summit that he would be around “awhile.”
Over the last 2 1/2 years, MacBride, 44, has steered Powell and the agency through controversial decisions on local telephone competition and loosening rules that would allow media conglomerates to grow.
