University Programs to Stop Sexual Harassment
UC Berkeley, which last year was rocked by a sexual harassment complaint filed by a former law student against the law school dean, announced that it has begun training programs to prevent sexual harassment.
University spokesman George A. Strait Jr. said the training is intended to update and strengthen anti-sexual harassment procedures throughout the campus. He said UC Berkeley officials who developed the programs were mindful of the controversy that led to the resignation of John P. Dwyer.
The training programs provide Web-based instruction, workshops and departmental meetings.
