2 Die From West Nile Virus, the First in State

An elderly man and woman in Platte County are the first two people in Wyoming to be killed by the West Nile virus, the state Health Department announced.
Meanwhile, Colorado reported its eighth West Nile death.
The Wyoming agency also said 30 new West Nile cases were confirmed by the state Public Health Laboratory, bringing the total number of human cases in Wyoming this year to 89.
Colorado authorities, meanwhile, reported the death of a 79-year-old Fremont County woman from the virus.
