King to Have Cancer Surgery
Norway’s King Harald V will have a cancerous bladder removed next week but is expected to make a full recovery, the palace and doctors said. The palace said Harald, 66, a great-great-grandson of Britain’s Queen Victoria, would be admitted to a hospital in Oslo on Monday.
Crown Prince Haakon, 30, would head the largely ceremonial monarchy in his father’s absence.
