High Court Reinstates Ban on Documentary

Israel’s Supreme Court temporarily reinstated a ban on showing a documentary by an Israeli Arab filmmaker of an Israeli military offensive last year in the West Bank’s Jenin refugee camp.
The ruling suspended a Nov. 11 decision by the same court that had lifted the ban on “Jenin, Jenin” imposed by Israel’s Film Ratings Board, which had called it a “distorted presentation.”
More than 50 Palestinians, including civilians, and 23 Israeli soldiers were killed in the camp.
