Seinfeld takes honey of a role

DreamWorks, which already has given the world a computer-animated film about an ant colony (1998’s “Antz”), now has one planned about bees. And the Queen Bee of the project is none other than Jerry Seinfeld.

In his highest-profile project since his popular sitcom went off the air in 1998, Seinfeld will write, produce and provide one of the voices for “Bee Movie,” the studio said Tuesday.

“I have always been fascinated by bee society, the world’s most harmoniously run organization, and now I finally am going to be in it,” Seinfeld said.
