Lancaster OKs Fee to Hire 4 Deputies

The Lancaster City Council has approved a plan to hire more sheriff’s deputies to deal with rising crime.
Under the plan, landlords will pay a new annual business license fee of at least $65. The fees, combined with general fund money, will pay for four additional deputies who will respond to and help prevent crimes around apartment complexes.
