Political Change: Start With the Primaries

Every four years, if an election is close, we grouse about the unfairness of the electoral college -- and then quickly we forget about it and nothing is done. And every four years millions of us outside of Iowa and New Hampshire gripe about the fact that a handful of people in these two states have a disproportional influence in picking our nominees. And, again, nothing changes. I mean, come on, am I the only one who thinks that a rotating order of primaries every four years would be more democratic than what we’ve got now? How do we get some heat on this issue?
