From Times Wire Reports
Authorities searched without success for a U.S. Border Patrol agent who disappeared while pursuing suspected illegal immigrants along the Colorado River Tuesday night.
James Epling, 24, who vanished just north of the border with Mexico, had pulled a woman from the river before chasing other members of her group along a trail, authorities in Yuma said.
Sonar equipment was brought in to map a two-mile stretch of the river to help divers determine the best sites to explore in their search for Epling’s body.
