Funding Help Sought for Firefighting Helicopter
From Times Wire Reports
City officials are asking San Diego County and cities in the area to help pay for a regional firefighting helicopter.
The city pays to lease the costly helicopter, and San Diego Assistant Fire Chief Augie Ghio said the county and the other 17 cities should help with the funding because it provides fire and rescue services throughout the region.
The county Board of Supervisors will vote Jan. 13 on the request.
