Man’s Body Found Near Condominiums
Authorities are trying to identify a man found dead Sunday between a retaining wall and a condominium complex on the north side of the Ventura Freeway at Ventu Park Road.
Sheriff’s officials believe the body had been there at least three days. It remains unclear whether a crime occurred.
“It looks like an accidental death” rather than homicide, said Sheriff’s Department spokesman Eric Nishimoto. James Baroni, senior deputy medical examiner, said the cause of death has yet to be determined.
