Driver to Plead Guilty to Theft, Lawyer Says

An armored-truck driver who allegedly fled to Mexico with $375,000 in checks and cash is prepared to plead guilty, according to his lawyer.
Philip Salcedo Jr. of San Diego was arrested last week in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He appeared in a San Diego court Monday, and bond was set at $100,000.
Salcedo’s parents plan to repay $34,000 of the missing money, lawyer Manuel Armando Rios said.
