Search Firm Will Help Find Interim Manager

City Council members have decided to hire an executive search firm to help interview city staff members interested in working as interim city manager.
Denese Wilson, the city’s human resources manager, told the panel Tuesday that a professional recruiter may charge less than $5,000.
City Manager MaryJane Lazz, who served in an interim position before her permanent appointment in January 1999, plans to retire May 2.
