A Familiar Beat for Babe With Rhythm

Share

After two futile tries against better, Babe With Rhythm is back in at the level of her last victory in tonight’s fifth race, a $20,000 claimer for 3-year-old fillies at 300 yards.

Owned by Tim Weeks and trained by John Cooper, the daughter of Red Hot Rhythm was off the board in the Diamond Bar and Denim N Diamonds handicaps in her first two starts after being claimed out of a victory last Nov. 9. Drawn outside in the compact field of six, Babe With Rhythm will be ridden by Sam Thompson.

The Royal Music, who has two seconds and a first in her last three starts, could be the main threat to Babe With Rhythm. Owned and trained by Felix Gonzalez, she was just second at this level.
