Couple Plead Not Guilty in Torture of Infant Son
A Gardena couple pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges that they tortured and abused their 10-week-old son.
Desiree Ann Soto and Ron Tyler Bahnsen, both 22, are being held on $1-million bail each. A bail review hearing is set next week in Torrance Superior Court. The couple were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of torture after taking their son to the hospital for vomiting Jan. 31.
The boy is in critical condition at Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles, officials said.
Police are still investigating the crime, but have no other suspects.
