6 Handymen Charged in Contractors Board Sting

Los Angeles City Atty. Rocky Delgadillo has filed charges against six men for allegedly doing home improvement and landscaping work in the San Fernando Valley without licenses.

The men allegedly offered to do painting work and trim and remove trees at a location in North Hollywood that was set up as part of a sting by the Contractors State License Board.

Charged with unlicensed contracting and advertising without a valid license were Luis Armando Gutierrez of Los Angeles, Hyun Pyo Chung of Glendale, Fernando Flores Lopez of Sun Valley, Yousef Ohana of North Hollywood, Mario Campos of Sun Valley and Rosario Cirincione of Burbank, according to the city attorney.

If convicted, the men each face a $1,000 fine and up to six months in jail for every offense. Chung is also charged with using another contractor’s license number, which is punishable by a $10,000 fine and a year in jail.
